NEET UG FAQ
Clear answers to common preparation questions.
Does the current paper have optional sections?
The 2026 bulletin specifies 180 compulsory questions. Do not use the earlier 200-question, optional-section structure as the current pattern.
Where is the official syllabus?
NMC notifies the syllabus and NTA includes it in the NEET UG information bulletin. Compare your chapter checklist with the official syllabus for your target year.
Does a qualifying score guarantee an MBBS seat?
No. Qualifying and securing admission are different. Counselling, rank, category, available seats and the admitting authority’s rules determine allocation.
How should I balance Biology with Physics and Chemistry?
Use a weekly plan that touches all three subjects. Combine active recall and diagram practice in Biology with worked calculations in Physics and Chemistry, then revisit mistakes before adding new material.
