Pattern shown from the 2026 official publication. Re-check the bulletin, syllabus and admission rules for your own examination year; later notices take precedence. The NBEMS 2026 bulletin also allows operational changes to the number of timed sections. Questions span the MBBS curriculum; do not assume an unofficial subject-wise weightage table is a rule.

NEET PG FAQ
Clear answers to common preparation questions.
Who is eligible for NEET PG?
NBEMS requires the applicable recognised MBBS qualification, medical registration and internship completion by the session’s specified cut-off, along with its other conditions. Check the current bulletin for your particular case.
How did the 2026 question count change?
The 2026 official bulletin uses 180 questions rather than the earlier 200-question pattern. Check your target session’s bulletin before selecting a practice format.
Can I return to an earlier timed section?
Under the 2026 rules, a section locks when its allotted time ends. You cannot then review its questions or change its responses, so your review needs to happen inside each section’s time window.
Does NEET PG cover every postgraduate medical institution?
No. Some institutions use separate admission routes. Check the official scope of NEET PG and the prospectus of the programme you want rather than assuming one examination covers every institution.
How can I make revision more useful?
Group errors by their cause: knowledge gap, missed clinical clue, confused mechanism or rushed decision. Revisit the relevant concept and explain why the correct choice is better than the alternatives.
