The short version
- We created EveryAgeLearn to help learners understand, not simply memorise.
- Children’s profiles are managed or authorised by a parent or lawful guardian.
- We do not sell personal information or use children’s information for targeted advertising.
- AI receives only the minimum context needed for the lesson, story, question or explanation being used.
- You can contact us to access, correct or delete information.
1. About this policy
This policy explains how EveryAgeLearn handles personal information when a learner, parent or other user visits our website, creates an account or uses our learning features. EveryAgeLearn is operated by EveryAge Labs Private Limited, which is the data fiduciary responsible for the personal information described here. For privacy questions and requests, email [email protected].
2. Our learning purpose
EveryAgeLearn is designed to build understanding, curiosity and confidence. Learning activities may use stories, visuals, voice, examples, practice and different solution methods so learners know why something works instead of only remembering an answer.
3. Information we may collect
| Category | Examples | Why it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Account information | Name or nickname, email address, login method and account type | To create, secure and support the account |
| Contact and billing details (optional) | Mobile number and postal address, when you choose to provide them at sign-up | Mobile number is used only for account-related and service communication (for example, help with your account or an important service notice); postal address is used only for billing and tax records on a paid plan. Both are optional — the service works without them, and they are never required to learn, used for advertising, or sold. |
| Learner profile | Age or date of birth, class, board, exam goal, language, interests and accessibility preferences | To select suitable lessons and presentation styles |
| Learning activity | Topics opened, answers, methods used, scores, progress and recent mistakes | To explain concepts, adapt practice and provide progress insights |
| Optional content | Profile photo, voice answer or feedback submitted by the user | To provide the specific feature requested by the user |
| Technical information | IP address, device/browser information, essential cookies and security logs | To keep the service working, secure and resistant to misuse |
| Transactions | Subscription and payment records | To respond, provide receipts and meet applicable obligations |
Core learning should not require a learner to upload a photograph or provide a voice recording. When an optional feature is not needed, please do not provide that information.
4. How we use information
- Provide and secure Google or email-based sign-in.
- Create parent-managed learner profiles.
- Select age-, class-, board- or exam-appropriate content.
- Generate or select stories, examples, questions and explanations.
- Check answers, including supported alternate methods, and show progress.
- Create private parent summaries and signed-in-only leaderboards that show a display name and the learner’s chosen avatar or photo.
- Prevent spam, fraud, fake accounts and security attacks.
- Respond to requests, feedback and legal obligations.
5. Children and parental control
In India, a person below 18 is treated as a child for the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection framework. A parent or lawful guardian should create or authorise a child profile before the child uses personalised features. A child may then use their approved login or profile under that supervision.
Our child-protection rules are:
- No sale or rental of children’s personal information.
- No targeted advertising directed at children.
- No behavioural monitoring for advertising.
- No public display of a child’s email address or other direct contact information, and no display of a child’s photograph on any page that is open to the public or search engines.
- Leaderboards are shown only to signed-in users of the platform — they are not public. A child is excluded from every leaderboard by default; a child never appears on a leaderboard, and is never represented by a photo there, unless a parent deliberately turns leaderboard participation on. Even when turned on, a child is shown by display name and a non-identifying preset avatar only — a child's uploaded photograph is never displayed on a leaderboard.
- A parent chooses whether a child appears on leaderboards at all, and can exclude the child again at any time. The uploaded photo is private and is used only inside the child's own profile, never on a shared ranking.
- Parents can request access, correction or deletion of a child profile.
6. Limited use of AI
AI may help create a story, explain a concept, generate a question, understand an answer or suggest another learning method. We follow a minimum-context approach: the AI should receive only information relevant to the page or activity currently being used.
Information that may be needed
- Age band or learning level
- Board, class, exam and selected topic
- Preferred language or presentation style
- The current question and relevant recent answer
Information excluded by default
- Email address and login credentials
- Full date of birth when an age band is enough
- Profile photograph or unrelated voice recordings
- The learner’s complete history when only the current activity is needed
We do not intentionally provide a child’s direct identity to an AI provider when the feature can work with a pseudonymous identifier. We do not permit personal information supplied through EveryAgeLearn to be used to train a provider’s general-purpose AI models unless a separate, clear and optional permission is obtained.
7. When information is shared
Information may be processed by carefully selected providers that help us deliver hosting, storage, authentication, email, security, analytics, AI or future payment services. They receive only the information required for their task and must handle it under applicable contractual and security requirements. Some providers may process information in another country.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect a person from serious harm, or to investigate abuse or a security incident. We do not sell personal information.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies for login, preferences, security and basic operation. These are always on because the service cannot function without them, and they are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Advertising and optional analytics cookies stay switched off until you explicitly allow them through the cookie choice. If you decline, or before you choose, no advertising or analytics script is loaded and no such cookie is set. Advertising and optional analytics are never enabled inside a learner session, and are enforced off for child profiles — a child profile is never served advertising or optional analytics cookies regardless of any choice made on a public page.
We use a privacy-focused edge analytics measure (page counts and performance) that does not use cookies and does not build an advertising profile. This runs on general public pages for aggregate performance measurement; it is not applied to learner or child sessions.
9. Storage, security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, such as access controls, encryption in transit, private storage for profile content, monitoring and backups. No online service can promise absolute security.
We retain information only while it is needed to provide the requested feature, maintain security, resolve disputes or meet applicable legal obligations. Learning history is normally kept while the learner profile is active. Optional voice input should be processed for the requested interaction and not retained longer than necessary. When deletion is completed, residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups are overwritten through their normal cycle.
10. Your choices and rights
A user, parent or lawful guardian may ask us to:
- Explain what personal information we hold and how it is used.
- Correct, complete or update inaccurate information.
- Withdraw an optional consent.
- Delete a learner profile or account, subject to information we must legally retain.
- Review a privacy concern or complaint.
Send the request from the account’s registered email address to [email protected]. We may need to verify the requester’s identity and, for a child profile, their authority as parent or lawful guardian.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as EveryAgeLearn develops. We will change the date at the top and provide an appropriate notice before a material change takes effect. Where fresh consent is required, we will request it rather than treating continued use as automatic consent.
