Five areas

English, Current Affairs/GK, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques

Based on the published UG CLAT 2027 scheme. Check the official bulletin, programme rules and later notices for your own application; a preparation map is not an eligibility decision. Use the published syllabus rather than speculation about future reforms. PG CLAT and separate law-school tests are not covered by this UG pattern.

CLAT FAQ

Clear answers to common preparation questions.

Do I need to know law before UG CLAT?

The official Legal Reasoning syllabus tests applying principles supplied in passages, not prior technical legal study. Awareness of contemporary issues can still help you read thoughtfully.

Is this the CLAT PG syllabus?

No. This page follows UG CLAT 2027. Candidates seeking postgraduate law admission must use the separate PG syllabus and eligibility rules.

Does CLAT cover NLU Delhi admission?

NLU Delhi publishes its separate AILET admission route. Check the institution you want rather than assuming one law entrance test covers every university.

How can I improve passage-based reasoning?

Before looking at the options, summarise the passage and identify the evidence for its argument. After answering, explain why the other choices are less well supported.
