SSC MTS FAQ
Clear answers to common preparation questions.
Does SSC MTS have a descriptive Tier II?
The linked 2025 scheme uses a computer-based examination in two mandatory sessions. It does not include the old descriptive Paper II.
Is negative marking the same in both sessions?
No. In the 2025 notice, Session I has no negative marking; Session II deducts one mark for each wrong answer. Re-check these rules in the notice for your cycle.
Do all MTS candidates take a physical test?
No. The PET/PST requirement belongs to Havaldar recruitment. Read the notice for the specific post you choose.
What education is required for SSC MTS?
The scheme reference is a matriculation/Class 10 route. The qualification cut-off date and other eligibility conditions must be checked in the relevant official notice.
How can I start if my basics are weak?
Begin with short arithmetic and reading activities. Practise the method, explain it in your own words and revisit mistakes before adding more topics or timed work.
