SBI Clerk FAQ
Clear answers to common preparation questions.
Is SBI Clerk the same as Junior Associate?
SBI’s official recruitment title is Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre. “SBI Clerk” is the familiar preparation label used on this page.
What subjects are in the Main examination?
General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. This is not an awareness-and-computers-only test.
Is the local-language test compulsory for everyone?
The 2026 notice exempts candidates with the required Class 10 or 12 evidence of studying the specified local language. Other provisionally selected candidates must qualify the language test before joining.
Is there an officer-style interview in this route?
The current Junior Associate selection scheme uses Preliminary, Main and the specified local-language process, not the SBI PO group exercise and interview scheme.
Does passing the Preliminary exam secure a job?
No. It is a screening step. Main merit and the notified verification and language requirements still apply.
Make your Junior Associate preparation clear and manageable.
Choose your starting point and build understanding, one concept at a time.

- Learn clearly
