IBPS CSA (Clerk) FAQ

Clear answers to common preparation questions.

Why is IBPS Clerk called CSA here?

The current IBPS common recruitment uses Customer Service Associate (CSA). This page keeps the familiar IBPS Clerk route while identifying the official current name.

Does CSA-XVI Main have a Computer Aptitude section?

No. Its Main table lists General/Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. Computer literacy remains a separate eligibility requirement.

Who needs the local-language test?

Candidates without the required Class 10 or higher evidence of studying the specified opted local language must qualify the local-language test before joining, as set out in the current notice.

Do I need a separate computer certificate?

The notice permits specified certificates, diplomas or degrees, or having studied Computer/Information Technology as a subject in school, college or an institute. Check the exact evidence applicable to you.

Is this the same selection as IBPS PO?

No. CSA uses its own Preliminary, Main, language and allotment scheme. The officer recruitment’s descriptive paper and Common Interview must not be copied into the CSA route.
