RBI Grade B FAQ
Clear answers to common preparation questions.
Do General, DEPR and DSIM use the same exam?
No. The PY 2026 notice specifies different Phase I and Phase II paper schemes for the three cadres. Use the correct appendix for your application.
Does this page teach the DEPR and DSIM syllabus?
The topic map is a selected DR-General guide. It does not claim complete Economics, Statistics or Data Science coverage for the specialist cadres.
Is any graduate eligible for all RBI Grade B cadres?
No. Qualification types, minimum marks and other conditions differ. Read the current notice for your cadre and category rather than relying on a generic graduate-eligibility summary.
Where can I find the detailed General scheme?
Appendix II of the RBI recruitment notice controls the detailed General-cadre scheme and syllabus. Appendix III covers the specialist routes; subsequent notices and call-letter instructions also matter.
How should I use current affairs in my learning plan?
Connect a development with the underlying economic or financial concept, note the source and date, and practise explaining the connection. Keep reading separate from unverified predictions about what an exam will ask.
