CMA Final FAQ
Clear answers to common preparation questions.
Must I take all three Paper 20 options?
No. ICMAI requires one choice from 20A, 20B and 20C at Final enrolment. The topic map shows the alternatives for orientation; follow the elective attached to your enrolment.
Is Strategic Performance Management a compulsory paper for everyone?
No. Strategic Performance Management and Business Valuation is Paper 20A, one of the three elective choices under the current curriculum.
What are the core Group IV papers?
Cost and Management Audit, Corporate Financial Reporting, and Indirect Tax Laws and Practice. Your selected Paper 20 elective completes the group's paper set.
Can passing Final alone complete every professional requirement?
No. Course completion, training and membership conditions are separate institute requirements. Check ICMAI's current instructions for your registration and training status.
How do I revise advanced case questions?
Summarise the facts, state the issue, identify the relevant principle and show the conclusion with its assumptions. Keep an error log that distinguishes a rule you missed from a calculation error or an unsupported judgement.
